Community Project: The School Discipline Divide: Parent Committees to Review and Rethink Behavior Interventions for Over Disciplined Kids

“PLTI has given me the gift of community and connectivity in tumultuous times. This cohort (and every other PLTI grad I’ve met!) feels like family, and I am beyond grateful for the opportunities we’ve had to be vulnerable, to think deeply, and to reimagine and work toward a better world. PLTI models inclusivity and accessibility, not only by helping eliminate common barriers to advocacy (with things like meals, childcare, and translation), but also by introducing us to important players in the city and offering real and lasting mentorship with some of KC’s best. PLTI took what I already knew about advocacy and made it personal and possible!”
